12 Gallon Cichlid Tank?!?
Well I have a 12 gallon eclipse tank, planning to use for fresh water, and I have driftwood, plants, and rocks in it. Chemistry and surroundings are set ideally set African Cichlids. I recently read that they need 30 gallons or something crazy, but I don’t have the space. I also read they need one gallon of water per inch of fish, which sounds about right… I was only planning on getting two of the smaller, more peaceful ones (electric yellow labs), but the 30 gallon thing got me worried… Can I still have Cichlids??!? Please help!
i have the same tank and yes it is totally possible! i had this same problem and people said the same and now i have 3 cichlids and a pleco living peacefully. although the 2 sometimes fight this is just the fish and terittory issues. if you have good calm fish u can add another one and a pleco but no other fish bc the cichlids will kill them. I know from experience! Go for it and good luck
