Select Soprano
How to deal with annoying people?
I am in select soprano choir in school, and I love it. It is great. Just one problem. There is this one girl in our choir, who is legit TONE DEAF. Im not even kidding, the girl’s voice sounds like a blender chopping up rocks. The only reason she got into select choir is because her mom is the choir teacher, which is unfair to begin with. She ruins all of our competitions, and makes us lose every time because she is so off key. Everyone agrees that she sucks. We don’t want to be mean about it though, so what is a nice way of getting her to catch the hint? She doesn’t realize her voice is bad…. and i don’t think it is right that we, who got into select choir fairly, have to lose because of one person. Help!
You talk about “select” choir as if being in a choir is important or something. Got news for you, if people liked to listen to choirs we would be listening to them on the radio. The choir is an environment where everyone who is bad at singing but still really wants to sing…. for some reason can sing. Thats the point of a choir. Besides, you cant really tell who sounds bad when your singing in a group. Because everyone just kind of sounds bad.
This girl must know she sucks being that her mom is the teacher and all. I would just switch choirs, do you honestly think her mom is going to kick her daughter out of the choir?
Good Luck and if you really a good singer, try singing on your own instead of being held back by people in the choir.
