Should I get a new clarinet case?
The one i have I got off craigslist bc my mom says its wayyyyyyyy cheaper to buy one used then rent one.
And the clarinet is good itsleft but the case looks like a fricken tool box! Its a Selmer clarient and I want to buy a new case. im in 8th grade and If i carry that piece of crap around in school, poeple will make fun of me.
Also theres this one part in the clarniet case were its like caving in were one of the peices literally touch eachother; and under the fur (the padding stuff your clarinet lays in) its plastic that keeps it held up.
Im going to buy myself a new case, but Im really scared the clarinet wont fit, Ive been looking at this one from amazon and I would buy it in a heart beat, but will the clarniet fit?

Almost without question, your clarinet will fit in this Gator case – they make them to be adaptable, otherwise they would not sell many of them! You can also look on Musicians Friend, and on eBay – you might have more choice, and save some $$. Good luck playing!
Added – you can sell the old one on eBay – some people actually WANT a case like yours. I know that many people who are pro players in NYC will carry their fine instrument in a beater case, just so people will not think of stealing it. You carry around a $500 case – people assume there is a multi-thousand dollar instrument in there. I had a firend who played in a major orchestra in NYC, who wook take the subway home to Brooklyn at night. He would change his clothes, wear a navy peacoat and watchcap, and his $60,000 violin was in a case with duct tape on it! He would hug it on the subway, and sing and mutter to himself – worked great! So somebody someplace just might want you old case, too!
