Move to Dallas or Austin?
I’m from TX and my husband from OH. We’re in SC right now but thinking of moving to TX within the next year. Hopefully in the future open up a business auto repair/restoration related. And my passion is esthetics and make-up. I want to end up in the spa industry but would love to be involved in theatre again.
I have lived in both cities but call Austin home. I was single at the time and now have a husband and 2 little girls to think of. I love that Dallas is bigger and I think that my husband would be a little more comfortable maybe?? He is very conservative, likes his privacy and to do his own thing. I like being in the middle of everything or at least close to it. What do you all think as far as future growth for us as a family and professionally?
I think the place for your family may be a suburb of Dallas. You’d both be close to Dallas for your careers and opportunities for the girls, yet your husband would have the privacy to do his thing. Perhaps McKinney. It’s about 125,000 and growing with new homes, shopping, restaurants, yet has a lot of wide open space. I think there might be good potential for an auto restoration business here as opposed to Austin where a large % are either politicians or students.
