Bird of prey identification question?
What bird could this of been:
Bird of Prey
Seen over farm land (wheat or barely crop) this week in United Kingdom Shropshire
More than one seen…look to be playing together maybe youngsters
They were flying up and dropping like propeller seeds like this: http://waynesword.palomar.edu/plfeb99.htm
Then they sounded like a slide whistle up and down( sort of)
http://www.soundrangers.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=524 really odd sound
I have looked on the RSPB site and can’t identify it.
The feathers were grey and black and they had a white area underneath at tail base
Thanks for the help
I didn’t give you the thumbs down duke but I cannot find a grey tailed hawk on the RSPB site but thanks for offering an answer
Probably a kite
