Armstrong Silver
Is there a difference in a solid gold or silver flute and an plated flute?
Okay so I am looking to get a flute. I am looking at 2. One is a gemeinhertds 3shb with a 3x plated silver w/b foot. Or an Armstrong silver plated body and gold plated head, no b foot great condition model 105 E LTD. Could y’all look those up and tell me which pen is better. Much appreciated!!!

I guess my question is which one would sound better does the Armstrong because it’s a student mean it would not sound as ” professional” as the gemeinherdts?
Forget the two brands that you mentioned, There are MUCH better flutes out there than the two brands you mentioned. Neither will sound terrible and will not break not as much as the two you are looking at. Yamaha Jupiter, Emerson, pearl,Trevor James have a look at them for beginner flute brands. As a beginner you don’t need b foot just yet and gold/silver head joint will not make much difference for a beginner tone. Some teachers don’t think Gold makes much difference at all.
