How do I get this custom made?
I found a very cool planter online. Problem is, it’s not sold anywhere (just a designer’s project, I guess). I would like to get one made. I figure I can do the finishing (priming and painting), but I need a professional wood worker cut and build the pieces. Any reccomendations on where I could get this done? Here’s a pic of it..

Thats a simple box with cross-lateral support for the tile top.
You could certainly try any cabinet shop, they would have all the tools and finishing equipment, usually even the tile saws.
A handyman may have the equipment, but not the time.
I’d suggest tho, that your best bet would be the shop class at your local vo-tech, or high school. Students are always looking for projects… you provide the material, and they provide the labor (school provides the equipment, hehe)
Another place to look would be a local woodworking club.
As a project description, you need to keep in mind this is a planter, and needs to be able to hold water. The outside of the planter might be tile, but I suspect it is just painted wood (very high gloss), with a notch cut into it to match the tile spacing, making it look more like bricks laid adjacent to each other.
In order to last, you’re going to want a quality joint technique, like dovetail joints, because the box material is going to want to move. Dont rely on staples to hold it together.
If I were to do this type of project, I would make it in two pieces. The outside shell, and an inner tray. (Think ‘kleenex’ tissue covers, and youve got the idea) The outside shell, with the tile, would slip down over the inner ‘box’ tray.
